Solinst Low Pressure Packers 800/800M

These Solinst Low Pressure Pneumatic Packers fit perfectly in 2â?? and 4â?? (50mm and 100mm) monitoring wells, and are also suitable for use in smooth boreholes with inner diameters between 1.9â?? â?? 5â??. They are a low cost option making them ideal for short term applications. These packers inflate with a hand pump, with typical inflation pressure of 20-40psi (140-275kPa) above hydrostatic pressure, and from 20-30psi (140-205kpa) for the 3.9â??(99mm) packers.

The Packers utilize a gland made from black carbon reinforced rubber (BCR) on a Sch 80 PVC body. They are lowered using flexible low density polyethylene (LDPE) tubing or a rigid PVC drop pipe. If a rigid drop tube is not being used on your application, it is highly recommended to attach a safety line to the eyebolt provided.

For the Model 800 Low Pressure Pneumatic Packers, it is recommended to use the Solinst Model 103 Tag Line. The 103 Tag Line is a sturdy cable that is capable of lowering packers effectively whilst measuring placement depth. When using nylon compression fittings on each individual packer, an inflation line of 1/8â?? (3mm) low-density polyethylene can be attached with minimal effort.

Solinst packers can be utilized alongside the Solinst Bladder Pumps or Double Valve Pumps by being attached above the packers. The water inlet can be located below a single packer or placed between straddle packers with a perforated pipe. It is also possible to suspend Solinst Leveloggers below or between packers from their eyebolts for hydraulic conductivity testing.
