Another pump in the stainless steel range of pumps is the Hurricane XL pump, it is capable of pumping up to 150 feet from ground level and is powered simply by connection to a 12 volt battery. Its reliable reputation has led to the hundreds being installed in remediation sites using pump and treat systems and its long lasting, high performance pump motor lasts 400 hours under normal working conditions. The Hurricane XL pump is perfect for continuous purging of groundwater wells and for the purposes of long term remediation the pump can be powered by solar panels. There is no issue with the pumps performance in harsh conditions with hogher turbidity thanks to the computer engineered bottom debris filter screen. An additional feature is the ability to Low Flow Sample to as low as 10M/L per minute from any depth when used in conjunction with the Low Flow with Power Booster 2.5 “LCD” Controller and Non-Return Check Valve (sold seperately). Adjusting and reading the discharge is simple using the conveniently placed LCD display on top of the Controller. Should the motor fail, a new motor can be installed within 30 seconds it is simply twisted into place. Once installed the pump is essentially new and will have a life span identical to a new pump, the main wear parts consisting of the motor and seal have been incorporated into one motor module and this is comes complete with the SS Hurricane XL.
