The Solinst 103 Tag Line uses a weight at the end of a laser marked cable/tape and is specially designed for use during the installation of monitoring wells. The Tag Line is also a simple alternative to measuring the depth to the bottom of a well or the depth to the back of a backfill sand or bentonite layer.
The Tag Line uses a 1/16â?? (1.6mm) stranded stainless steel wire line with a durable polyethylene coating. It has a minimum break strength of 270lbs (122kg) and comes in standard lengths of 100ft-1000ft (30m-300m), with other lengths available on request.
The weights on the Solinst Tag Line can be clipped on and off the cable, allowing the Tag Line to be used as a support line for bailers, pumps and packer deployments.
As an alternative, RS Hydro can offer the PVDF Laser Marked tape. The PVDF tape has a break strength of over 220lbs (100kg) and comes in lengths of 100ft-1000ft with laser markings every 1/100ft or each millimetre. This tape ensures adherence to wet surfaces due to its clever thick dog bone design, as well as allowing it to hang straight on application.
There is a choice of PVDF tapes to choose from, the 3/8â?? (10mm) tape has Laser Markings every 1/1000ft or each millimetre. The LM2 tape features feet and tenths with markings every 1/100ft and the LM3 tape has metres and centimetres with markings every mm.
