Queen's Award for Enterprise in Innovation

Worcestershire based, Proteus Instruments, a trading division of RS Hydro has been honoured with a Queens Award for Enterprise: Innovation. The team are extremely proud as this is a huge achievement and the highest accolade for any UK business.

Proteus Instruments is one of only 51 organisations nationally to be recognised with a prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise: Innovation. The accolade was announced on Thursday 21 April 2022 which is the Queen's 96th Birthday.

Proteus Instruments was set up in 2018 and is the world's first scientifically proven real-time sensor platform to accurately and reliably measure BOD, COD, TOC and Coliforms in a wide range of water quality, environmental and industrial applications.

Now in its 56th year, the Queen's Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the country, with winning businesses able to use the esteemed Queen's Awards Emblem for the next five years.

The team at Proteus Instruments are honoured to win the Queen's Awards for Enterprise in Innovation. The entire team at RS Hydro and Proteus Instruments are passionate about what they do. The Award can help in raising awareness of important issues in helping to monitor our rivers and bathing waters. Only 14% of our rivers meet good ecological status; so, by promoting this awareness and combining it with this innovation, we will not only be able to monitor the water quality of our water resources more effectively, but we will also be able to manage them, not just in the UK but globally.
