Solinst 101B Basic Water Level Meter

The brand new Solinst 101B Basic Water Level Meter has been specially designed to be simple and economical, whilst remaining robust making it suitable for measuring groundwater levels. It is ideal for depth measurement in boreholes, wells, tanks and standpipes.

How the 101B Works

The Model 101B has a stainless steel probe connected to durable polyethylene flat tape. A 9 Volt battery that is housed inside the reel hub, powers the Water Level Meter. All electronics have been coated for water resistance.

When the probe enters the water the electrical signal is completed and a signal is sent back to the reel, triggering an audible buzzer and blinking light. The water level is then measured by reading the tape at the top of the well or borehole.

Construction, Probe and the Tape

The 101B has been designed to be both sturdy and easy to use on the field. It has a handle to wind the tape and the reel features a brake. On the front of the faceplate, there is also a probe holder for convenience.

Its quality polyethylene flat tape is heat embossed every centimetre and metre. The tape is 10mm wide and is available in 30m, 60m and 100m lengths.

The P1 probe is made from robust stainless steel and its specialist design is leak proof and reduces false signals caused by cascading water.
