Our Professional WMO approved Tipping Bucket Rain Gauge is an extremely accurate rainfall monitoring solution which is built to meet the needs of professional meteorologists. Our raingauges are made by one of the world's leading manufactrers of rain gauges which means they are very robust, with anodized aluminium bodies, cast aluminium bases and well balanced stainless steel spoons.
This rain gauge does exactly what the professional needs: measures rainfall to great accuracy with a well- balanced double tipping-bucket action. It requires very little maintenance.
The Professional Tipping Bucket Rain Gauge is available with 0.1mm and 0.2mm resolution and has an orifice size of 200cm2.
Long term accuracy is easily achieved with the Professional raingauge which requires hardly any calibration.
A sealed reed switch, capable of indefinite operation, and its solid mechanics ensure that this instrument has an extremely long working life with little need for maintenance and adjustment.
A spring mounted on the base of the funnel prevents bird droppings from clogging the inlet and a sharp edged ring around the orifice deters birds from landing on it.
A heated version is also available for year round measurements in cold climates.
