The WIN Wind Speed and Direction sensor is constructed around an AC generator (without brushes) and a rectifier, and all external sensor parts are made of highly resistive plastics. No maintenance is required for either sensor (except for periodical cleaning to free moving parts from e.g. cob webs) and the sensors maintain their original accuracy for many years. The statistical drop out rate of the sensor is less than 3 % within the first 8 years of operation.
The Wind Direction sensor is based on a precision potentiometer, and with a very low starting speed it can measure up to 200 km/h.
Made in Switzerland to the highest specifications, with permanent quality control based on an ISO-9000 equivalent Norm, executed by SCS, provides the product with the "Swiss-Calibration" quality mark. According to multilateral agreements this quality mark is approved and accepted in the following countries: A, CH, D, DK, F, GB, IE, I, N, NL, S, SF, RSA
The windspeed and direction sensor is supplied with a mast mounting arm, 2 pipe clamps, 2m of cable and some cable ties.
