The Echomax XLS/XLT series of ultrasonic transducers can monitor distances from 0.9-60m and temperatures as high as 150°C.
The Echomax XLS/XLT series of ultrasonic transducers utilize ultrasonic technology to monitor level changes in a wide range of liquids and solids applications. In conjunction with a Milltronics level transmitter, these transducers can easily monitor distances from 0.9 to 60 m (3 to 200 ft.) and temperatures as high as 150°C (300°F). A beam width of just 5° provides accurate readings in deep narrow tanks.
With an increased signal sensitivity, Milltronics XLS/XLT transducers can operate in difficult applications such as limestone, cement clinker and hot stone. All of these models have a sealed aluminium face to withstand noisy abusive environments and are backed by Milltronics proven reliability and performance.
During operation, Echomax transducers emit acoustic pulses in a narrow beam width, perpendicular from the transducer face. The level monitor measures the time between pulse emission and reflection (echo) reception to calculate the distance from the transducer face to the material. The integral temperature sensor is used to compensate for sound velocity variations due to changes in air temperature within the measurement range.
