The Manta 2 Water Quality Sondes is ideal for use in natural waters up to 50?°C. Can be used as an unattended logger or spot testing and profiling with use of the Amphibian display unit / PDA or installed with wireless telemetry systems.
The Manta 2 is suitable for a wide variety of applications including groundwater interaction, saltwater intrusion, surface water, reservoir and lake monitoring, estuary monitoring, watershed and source water protection, beach monitoring, storm water runoff, NPS monitoring, NPDES discharge, wastewater influent, effluent, vertical profiling, process water and aquaculture.
There are different sizes available but this all depends on what sensors the user intends to install. The Manta 2 sizes available are 2¢??, 2.5¢??, 3¢??, 3.5¢?? and 4¢?? (outside diameter). All the Manta¢??s are 16¢?? in length; this includes the weighted sensor guard and cable locking sleeve.
Available parameters:The Optical Dissolved Oxygen sensor requires no circulator and has no replaceable membranes or caps. It offers superior accuracy and uses luminescent dissolved oxygen technology. This sensor is insensitive to hydrogen sulphide (H2S) compared to polargraphic DO sensors and is not damaged by sunlight.
Turbidity SensorThe Turbidity sensor has a self cleaning wiper that is user programmable and is capable of up to 5 wipes to remove biological growth or debris. It is extremely accurate with up to 3000NTU¢??s.
Chlorophyll SensorThe Chlorophyll sensor can accurately measure in 3 ranges between 0.03 to 500ug/L. Not only is this sensor compact with a fast response time, but it also has ambient light and turbidity rejection circuitry. Also available is an adjustable secondary standard for calibration and quick check.
Blue-Green Algae SensorThe Blue-Green Algae sensor measures in 3 ranges from 0 - 2,000,000 cells/mL Cyanbacteria (phycocyanin or phycoerythrin). This sensor can identify potential algae blooms and provides substantial cost savings by eliminating cell counting.
Rhodamine WT SensorThe Rhodamine WT Sensor is capable of measuring in 3 ranges between 0.04 to 1000ppb. For quick and accurate calibration a secondary standard is also available. This sensor has ambient light rejection that ensure accurate readings with a fast response time.
DepthDepth sensors are available in absolute or vented in 5 ranges from 0 ¢?? 200 meters. It includes automatic temperature and salinity compensation.
Temperature SensorA highly accurate temperature sensor in 316 stainless steel housing, with a 30k ohm thermistor. It can be used to provide compensation for specific conductance, dissolved oxygen, pH and ion selective electrodes.
pH SensorThe pH sensor has a rebuildable reference with PTFE/FEP junction so there is no sensor to replace making this easy to maintain.
Conductivity SensorA highly accurate conductivity sensor which can measure specific conductance, salinity and TDS. It is accurate up to 100,000 uS/cm and it automatically compensates temperature. This sensor requires virtually no maintenance.
Dissolved Oxygen SensorThe dissolved oxygen sensor (polargraphic) has been the standard in the industry for around 30 years. It low flow or stagnant water, its circulator can deliver fast response times. No ¢??reconditioning¢?? of the sensor is necessary.
AmmoniumThe Ammonia Ion Selective Electrode has replaceable plasticized tips and has a maximum depth of 25 meters. It produces automatic calculations of ammonia and total ammonia concentrations. It has been specially designed for agricultural industry and fertiliser runoff in fresh water. Ammonia ISE¢??s is not suitable for use in seawater as interfering ions will effect readings.
ChlorideThe Chloride Ion Selective Electrode has replaceable plasticized tips and has a maximum depth of 25 meters. It is suitable for measuring saltwater intrusion or can be used as an effective tracer for pollution.
Nitrate Ion Selective ElectrodesThe Nitrate Ion Selective Electrode with replaceable plasticized tips, has a maximum depth of 25 meters. It has been designed to give automatic correction of temperature and automatic compensation for ionic strength concentrations.
