PT900 Live Video Demonstrations On RS Hydro's Calibration Flow-rig

Customers in the Engineering Support industry and in the Food & Drink industry approached RS Hydro with a particular interest in portable ultrasonic flow-metering. Keen on the idea of using portable clamp-on flow-meters on a variety of different applications, the clients asked RS Hydro if it was possible to demonstrate the flow-meters in action.
The RS Hydro sales team were happy to organise live-video demonstrations to show how a PT900 can measure flow rates in real time using RS Hydro's calibration testing flow-rig. During the video demonstrations, customers were shown how to set-up a PT900 according to specific application information, such as pipe material and diameter, fluid inside of the pipe and installation of the clamp-on flow sensors. Then, the customers were shown that the PT900's live measurements were within the +/- 2.5% accuracy limits that are expected from the flow-meter. Measurements were also within 1m3/hour of flow-rates indicated on the calibration testing flow-rig's reference electromagnetic flow-meter transmitter, which have an accuracy of 0.4%. Customers were shown evidence live on video to support the PT900s accurate measurements. The customers then had the opportunity to ask both general questions and specific questions relating to their application.
