RS Hydro were recently approached to provide a solution for proving the effectiveness of a costly remediation strategy. The remediation process was to be used to solve a potential groundwater contamination problem caused by a leaking underground petroleum tank. Such contaminated leaks are not uncommon in groundwater and remediation circles. Injecting oxygen into the groundwater (commonly known as bioremidiation) offers an effective solution to this problem. This process is often costly, so a thorough, ongoing monitoring program to assess the contamination in the groundwater can provide accurate data to justify these costs.7th Oct 2012
